Implementation Steps • Survey students for interest via counseling department (min. 20) • Develop a course description and syllabus for SIT/ board approval (by April) • Order materials and textbooks • Send teacher to summer professional development • Have final syllabus approved by AP College Board (by October) • Run course • Evaluate

  11. Take Away • AP courses are expensive to operate in comparison to general electives • AP science courses are even more so • Implementing a course takes a lot of foresight in the year prior to offering • Most importantly is there demand to balance the costs?
