  1. Rethinking Increased/Improved Services & the LCAP Video Vignette: Data Analysis Protocol

  2. Data Analysis Protocol This protocol is designed to assist you in analyzing the change in your data over three years for all students and for the three unduplicated student groups (ELs, Low Income, and Foster Youth). This protocol offers two different approaches to organizing the data: by student group (Option A) or by year (Option B). Choose your approach based on your local content and needs. Regardless of which approach taken, it is suggested that you list—at a minimum—the metrics that are required to be included in the LCAP. If you choose to include additional metrics in your LCAP, it is suggested that you include those here as well.

  3. Data Analysis Protocol Option A Option B

  4. Data Analysis Protocol Option A

  5. Data Analysis Protocol Option A

  6. Data Analysis Protocol Option A

  7. Data Analysis Protocol Option A • Over three years attendance rates for all student groups increased • Attendance for English Learners increased, but more slowly as compared to all students • Attendance for Low Income students increased and outpaced all students • Attendance for Foster Youth remained relatively static

  8. Data Analysis Protocol Option A • Math • Overall performance increased, but not consistently • EL performance declined significantly • Low Income student performance varied from year to year • Foster Youth performance increased • ELA • Overall performance increased • English Learners performance declined significantly • Low Income student performance varied from year to year • Foster Youth performance was relatively static
