  1. Facts for October Monday 27 October - 300th day of the Year Captain James Cook was born on the 27 October 1728 near Middlesborough, Yorkshire. He was a British explorer, navigator and cartographer and he discovered the Hawaiian Islands and brought Australia and New Zealand into the British Empire. His famous ship was HMS Endeavour (US space shuttle was named after it). Cook was killed in Hawaii on 14 February 1779.

  4. Eco Club Primary 5 and 6 Travel Survey done. Thank you. This week our Eco Club will be continuing with the Travel Survey for P7 .

  5. Break Time Information Morning Break will be from 10.45 – 11.05 for all P1 – 7 classes Monday – Friday Classes with PE before break will get an extra 5 minutes playtime. The class on Buddy duty for that week will also get an extra break on Fridays from 11.05 – 11.25.

  6. Arrangements for end of break • The whistle will be blown a few minutes before the end of break in the quiet area and all weather pitch to allow children time to get back to line up on time. • When the whistle is blown in the main playground all children should go to their class line up area as quickly as possible. P4 – 7s should put away any equipment they are using before lining up. • When it is time to take the lines in the auxiliary/EYW co-ordinating the lines will blow their whistle one more time to remind children that they should be standing quietly, in single file, facing the front, ready for when their class is called forward to go into school with their Class Teacher. Scrapstore (lunch break only) • P4 – 7 only – the scrapstore bell will go 5 minutes before the end of lunch break to let everyone know it is time to tidy up and put the scrap back in the shed. Every child is very welcome to join in with this before going to line up.

  7. Well Done to …………. Murray, Maya and Calum who have completed their 25 metre swim at their swimming classes.

  8. Well Done to …………. To everyone who came along to our Scholastic Book Fair and bought books. We have a fantastic total of £725 of free books for our library.

  9. Well Done to …………. Tallis and Allanah who helped at the Pony Club Games fundraiser which included, bingo, raffles etc and raised £1683.12 towards the club Isaac who took part in the Mandco Fashion Show.
