  2. October 3 • NO SSW • Conferences—What is missing and how can you turn it in • Movie: Freedom Writers • Take notes journal (reflections) • What are you thankful for in light of what you saw today? Use a variety of sentences to express your thoughts.

Will you make changes concerning how you “see” other people? • 3. What are some of the injustices you see in the world? • 4. What is one thing you can do to change it?

  16. 10/18 • SSR • If you have finished a book. The black crate in the front of the room has several activities for you to do. Please be sure to complete one before the end of the 1st quarter. You can complete more than one for extra credit. • Due today…Final Drafts of I Am Poems (talk to me at the end of class if you need more time) • Monday…Reading log #6 is due.

All assignments must be turned in and assessments taken. Please make sure to complete a project for you independent reading. You can complete it during SSR time.

If you don’t know, the talk about what you think is the educational pathway. College, apprenticeship, trade school, etc. Are you willing to put in the work to get your dream job? • Retakes. • Read when finished
