  2. What is GradeSpeed? • -- a web-based program that allows teachers, administrators, students and parents to interact on-line regarding student’s grades. • -- an additional way to stay involved in your child’s education. GradeSpeed doesn’t replace teacher/parent conferences.

  3. How Does it Work? • GradeSpeed has been used by many public schools with great success. • GradeSpeed was implemented in DoDEA schools in grades 4-12 last year with very high satisfaction rates. • User friendly, secure, web-based system.

  4. How Does it Work? • Teachers maintain grades. • After registering, parents can access the system 24-hours a day. • Parents and teachers can communicate via a “note” feature.

  5. A Few Things To Remember • Some teachers post more grades than others. • GradeSpeed is not intended to replace face-to-face communication between parents and teachers in meetings and parent conferences. • A teacher’s primary job is to teach! While communication with parents enhances the educational experience, parents must be reasonable about expectations on the posting of grades and responsiveness. • Be patient when waiting for an email response. • Always keep your email address current with the school office.
