  3. Tuesday – October 21, 2008 AGENDA: Entry Task Read “Children of the River” Cultural Vocabulary Level 2 Questions . . . What are they asking? Why are they important?

  4. Cultural Misunderstandings/Conflicts • Brainstorm areas where you have seen or experienced cultural misunderstandings or conflicts. • Describe a “cultural conflict” or “cultural misunderstanding” that really stands out in your mind. Explain why you think it happened.

  5. During Reading . . . Mark examples of the following: 1. Cultural Norms 2. Assimilation 3. Ethnocentrism 4. Cultural Acquisitions 5. Customs NOTE:Bring a document saving device to class Wednesday &/or Friday.
