  3. Validity and Reliability TAKE NOTES • Validity • The truth of a statement/opinion. • Reliability = can that opinion be counted on every time? • It’s up-to-date-ness.

  5. Dictionary TAKE NOTES • Used to look up the meaning of words you want to know

  6. Thesaurus TAKE NOTES • Used to look up synonyms (same) and antonyms (opposite) of words.

  7. Atlas TAKE NOTES • A collection of maps—usually of the Earth, but sometimes space.

  8. Atlas TAKE NOTES • “Atlas” comes from the Greek titan who was forced to hold up the world as punishment

  9. Almanac TAKE NOTES • An annual publication containing information related to farming (sometimes government, religion, etc.) and weather forecasts

  10. Newspaper TAKE NOTES • A daily publication containing information about business, crime, entertainment, sports, editorials, and usually advertising.
