  1. This is an opportunity for grade 6, 7, and 8 students to participate in an overnight excursion to Camp Wanakita. The trip will leave on the morning of Monday June 3rd, 2013 from school and return on the afternoon of Wednesday June 5th, 2013 Students will be traveling on a Parkinson School Bus. The travel time is approximately 2 hours.

The students will participate in a variety of team building and leadership activities that will include: • Low ropes course • High ropes course • Archery • Polar Bear Dip (optional ) • Kayaking & Canoeing • Team Building Activities • Nature Walks • Eco Games • Initiative Games • Orienteering • Crafts

Suggested Bedding/Toilet Kit 1 Sleeping Bag 1 Pyjamas 1 Soap or shower gel 1 Comb/Brush 1 Towel 1 Toothbrush 1 Toothpaste 1 Hat 1 Bottle of Sunscreen 1 Bottle of Bug Spray Suggested Clothing List 4 Pairs of socks 4 Pairs of underwear 2-3 Pairs of pants 1-2 Pair(s) of shorts 3-4 T-shirts 2 Long sleeved shirts 1 Sweater 1 Jacket 1 Bathing suit 1 Beach Towel 2 Shoes 1 Rain coat & rubber boots All things must be packed into one bag or suitcase & one bedroll – students must carry their gear to their cabin !

  5. If you would like to join the trip please complete and submit the following: • Parent permission form • Application form • Criteria acknowledgement form • Medical form • Acceptance of responsibility form • Full payment of $209.66 • (cash only)

  6. Applications will be accepted at Royal Orchard Middle School. We can take a maximum of 40 students per grade. Spots will be given on a first come, first served basis.
