  3. Finding the Flipcharts: -All the Flipcharts in this PowerPoint are found on my teacher page. You should be able to click on the link you want and it will automatically open up the ActivInspire. -ActivVotes, if needed, are used by plugging in the USB drive into the side of your computer OR the Promethean board. -This could be a quick first time training for anyone interested -Not all Flipcharts require these

  4. Primary For Kindergarten: Sorting For 1-2: Venn Diagram Examples This Flipchart includes several short passages and Venn Diagrams to learn how to compare and contrast two things.

  5. Primary For K, 1, 2: Students have to put words in the correct order to work on sentence building For 1-2 (Possibly 3): This Flipchart has examples to read to the class and they have to picture it in their minds. Includes journal activity.

  6. More for 2,3,4 For 2-3: Short passages for students to summarize. Sentence Building This Flipchart includes nouns, verbs, adjectives, and articles students can use to create sentences. You can also create your own words.

  7. Non-Fiction Text Features A Flipchart that could be used as a good teaching tool to introduce text features. Includes explanation and example of each. Good tool to review text features. Includes interactive slides for students to manipulate. Text Features

Figurative Language Onomatopoeia Personification, onomatopoeia, similes, metaphors, idioms, alliteration, hyperboles • Includes examples and has pages for students to interactively practice with • Baseball game that reads an example and students have to match with the correct type of figurative language. Would also help with listening comprehension.

  9. Context Clues Best for Grades 3 and 4 This Flipchart includes vocabulary words within text. Students have to determine what words would be a synonym and/or antonym for. ***Also uses Acti Votes for students to select their answers
