Questions in a cup race! • - Students will be given a cup with varies questions that are cumulative. • - Students will get into their groups and take out a strip and answer the question before a second strip is pulled out of cup. • -All work should be shown on the extra sheet of paper and numbered. • -Teacher will display all the answers to the questions and award the team with all correct problems. • -If no group was able to have them all correct allow additional time to answer questions as a team.

Four Square Pair • - Students will be given a white sheet of paper. • -In pairs students will fold the paper to have four equal squares. • - Teacher will give each group four questions to answer and show their work. • 1. Mr. Jenkins gave $120 to his four grandchildren. The children shared the money equally. How much money m did each child receive? • 2. Rewrite the number sentence below and insert grouping symbols to make it true. 8+3 x 6=66 • 3. The bottom of a Canyon floor is 120 feet below sea level (elevation - 120). You stand on a hill 628 feet above sea level (elevation 628). What is the difference in elevation between the bottom of the canyon floor and where you are standing? • 4. Teri and Harold are packing cans for the community food party. Teri’s boxes hold 8 cans each. Harold’s boxes hold 14 cans each. When each have used the same

  13. Hot Review! • How to find LCM: • First we find the multiples of a number. Example 6: 6,12,18,24,30 and 5:5,10,15,20,25,30 • Then we look for the LOWEST COMMON multiple. • 30 is the LCM OF 6 and 30 • How to find the GCF: • First we write down the Factors of a number • Example 6: 1,2,3,6 • 12: 1,2,3,4,6,12 • Then look for the GREATEST COMMON factor. • 6 is the GCF of 6 and 12.

Factors are numbers that are multiplied to find a product. • What are the Factors of 18? (12: 1,2,3,4,6,12) • Find the greatest common divisor for 8 and 20. (4) 8. Katrina bought two pizza pies for a party. One pizza had 12 equal slices. The other pizza had 8 equal slices. How Could she divide the pizzas to have the same number of slices in each pie? (Cut each pizza into 24 pieces )
