  1. September Month is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month Detection of prostate cancer increased significantly in the 1980s and 1990s in many areas due to increased PSA testing. Looking at the increased PSA testing in 1989, decade before the creation of National Prostate Health Month, the week of September 17 to September 24 was chosen as Prostate Cancer Awareness Week and as time passed by, now the month of September is celebrated as the Prostate cancer awareness month With the introduction of Prostate Cancer awareness month and it’s celebration year after year, the death rate from prostate cancer has dropped by half. Other promising news is that if it is discovered early, survival is now close to 100 percent. But if identified late 3 out of 4 men will die.   2. and feels lack of awareness as one of the prime reasons for wide outspread of prostate cancer in India. His efforts about prostate awareness have received words of praise from the whole medical fraternity across the country. Dr. Ashish personally considers that every adult experiencing prostate ailment should visit his nearest urologist center. he also believes that this will put a check on the frightening rise of prostate cancer. He knows that early detection is the key to live a Prostate cancer-free life and he is striving hard to pass on this awareness about prostate to people in a different form. Passing on knowledge about the understanding of PSA testing by Dr. Ashish has helped people become more aware of prostate cancer has helped him check the ailment spread in his area.
