The Notebook • 1.5 Inch 3 Ring Binder w/ 3 tab dividers • Bring Daily; Keep organized • 1. Class Information – syllabus, lab safety contract, assignment lab, articles & references • 2. Lecture Notes – kept titled, dated and in order • 3. Numbered Assignments & Labs –keep in order; use assignment log to keep track
The Textbook • We will have a class set of books • You have ONLINE access to the text PLUS additional resources through My eClass • Access My eClass through the GCPS website https://myeclassgcps.com/app/StudentPortalLogin/ • Use your GCPS student id # and password to log on • LOTS of resources!

OFFICE HOURS/Make up Work & Content Help: • 645am – 715am daily • After school by appointment 215pm -315pm • Make up work is due within 5 days of the excused absence. • Come for help if needed!!!

Reassessment Policy • Instructor will review the top missed questions for each test • Students will have the opportunity to review their tests • Top missed questions will be reassessed on later assessments
Biology Class Rules • 1. Be on time for class. MCHS Tardy Policy Applies! • 2. Be Prepared at the Bell – all materials out and ready. • 3. LATEWORK – ONE DAY LATE = 20% off; after that its not accepted. • 4. All papers should have your name. Papers without a name will not be graded. See No Name Folder. • 5. There will be an academic penalty for cheating or allowing others to cheat from your work.
Biology Class Rules Cont. • 6. Show Respect. Classroom disturbances of any kind will not be tolerated. • 7. Please do not ask to leave the room except for emergencies. • 8. The following are not allowed in this classroom: • Food & drinks (except water) • Hats • Cell phones, IPODs and other items as stated by the administration in the student handbook* • 9. Keep This Room Clean! • 10. Lab Safety must be followed. Inability to follow lab safety rules may result in a zero grade and disciplinary action.

Restroom/Locker Passes • 3 Passes a semester • Only if an emergency • No wandering • Emergency illness is an exception • Use your passes wisely!
