Everything you Need to Know About Embedded Locks

The design of the mortise lock system enhances the style and aesthetics of the doors, since unlike the overlapping locks which are installed in a rustic and rudimentary on the door; the mortise locks are incorporated perfectly in the internal structure of the door so that much of the mechanism and the parts of the lock is hidden, leaving only the slot to enter the key, thus creating a fantastic harmony between the lock and the door.

Embedding or embedding basically means puffing an object inside the wall or the floor; that is, it represents the antagonistic action to be superimposed, and in our home, we can find many elements that are embedded, among which the locks stand out. The first locks manufactured at the beginning of the mortise locks were of the superimposed type, since this design is much easier and simpler, however, to increase the security of the locks; the embedded locks were designed, which have as main characteristic the incorporation of the same inside the door, joined to the exit of the slip and bolt of the lock by one of the lateral faces of the door. The invention of the mortise or embed locks marked a remarkable advance and progress in the mortise locks industry that then continued in a dizzying way with the creation of new and innovative models of stuffing.
