Today will be hot with high humidity. The high temperature will reach 98* but it will feel a couple of degrees warmer. There is a heat advisory issued for today. The winds are out of the southwest at 5 – 10 mph bringing more heat and humidity throughout the day. By tomorrow, the temperature could be 10 degrees warmer than today. The Battle of the Hydrobots for the championship of the world will take place right after school June 14. If you tested for a grade and if you think your robot is tough enough, then bring it on to the Lab Tuesday, June 14. Bring your parents. Bring a donut and be prepared to go one on one with the best of the bots.
Today is the last day to order doughnuts from the NJHS. The price is just $6.50 for a dozen and $7.00 for a certificate good for a dozen fresh from the store. Please see a NJHS member or Ms. Animashaun during lunches to place your order. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Go Passionately Pink for the Cure Fight for Breast Cancer.
This is our last broadcast of the year. Tomorrow starts exam week and we all need to be in class on time. But for today, we will relax a bit in the studio and enjoy some doughnuts. Have a good summer. Next year, while you are in home room, we will be back to keep you abreast of what’s happening in Parkland.
The last thing we need to tlak about this year is cleaning out your lockers. Why wait – start taking some of your stuff home today. But – if any of the stuff is useable– donate it to other kids who could use it. That pile of paper and broken pencils would be very welcome in an elementary art class or preschool program.
