(established 1999) is one of the pioneers in introducing digital photogrammetry in Bulgaria The Photogrammetry Department (established 2001) was the one to introduce the digital photogrammetric workstation PHOTOMOD (Racurs Co.) in Bulgaria

IX International Scientific and Technical ConferenceFrom imagery to map: Digital photogrammetric technologies October 5–8, 2009, Attica, Greece The experts of Photogrammetry Department at GIS Sofia tested the following digital photogrammetric workstations: • ImageStation 2001 and Image Station SSK (Z/I Imaging) • DVP (Leica-Helava) • VirtuoZo (Supresoft) • PHOTOMOD (Racurs Co.) • Geomatica OrthoEngine (PCI Geomatics) • ERDAS IMAGINE (Erdas Inc.)

IX International Scientific and Technical ConferenceFrom imagery to map: Digital photogrammetric technologies October 5–8, 2009, Attica, Greece As of May 2006, GIS Sofia Ltd. has been the distributor of PHOTOMOD for Bulgaria With the exception of the first version, delivered to Geocad Ltd., all other PHOTOMOD workstations are purchased though GIS Sofia Ltd.

IX International Scientific and Technical ConferenceFrom imagery to map: Digital photogrammetric technologies October 5–8, 2009, Attica, Greece At present, four companies and one university have installed 27 PHOTOMOD workstations (as per August, 31, 2009): • Geographic information system–Sofia Ltd (GIS Sofia Ltd.) – 9 workstations, version 4.4.736 • Geocad Ltd. - 3 workstations, versions 3.60.236 and 4.2.539 • Geoconsult Ltd. - 3 workstations, version 4.3.616 • Geodetect Ltd. - 7 workstations, version 4.4.736 • University of architecture, civil engineering and geodesy 5 workstations, version 4.40.765

Montage Desktop – 10 modules • PHOTOMOD AT – 16 modules • PHOTOMOD SolverA – Aero – 11 modules • PHOTOMOD SolverS – Scanner – 8 modules • PHOTOMOD DTM – 13 modules • PHOTOMOD Mosaic – 12 modules • PHOTOMOD SteroDrew – 12 modules • PHOTOMOD ScanCorrect – 1 module • PHOTOMOD GeoMosaic – 2 modules • PHOTOMOD StereoACAD – 2 modules • PHOTOMOD VectOr – 5 modules • PHOTOMOD Field Survey – 5 modules
