  2. What went wrong • An o-ring failed ( holds the SRB on to the ship) due to unusually low temperatures. The failure caused a plume of flame to jump on the external tank , causing the explosion.

  3. Crew members • There was seven crew members here are there names. Commander Francis R. scobee ; pilot Michael J. smith ; mission specialists Ronald E. Mcnair , Ellison S. Onizuka and, Judith A. Resnik ; payload specialists Greqory B. Jarvis and , Sharon C. McAuliffe.

  4. Objective of the mission • The objective of the mission was to take pictures of Halleys comet.

  5. Date of launch • . The date of the launch was January 28, 1986
