  • GEF will provide more funds for the Coral Triangle Initiative (CTI)
  • TIM $1.76m
  • VAN $1.5m
  • SOL $2.0m
  • Reinstatement of cuts by GEF in May, plus some extra
  • ADB to consult with GEF

Funds to Micronesia Challenge
  • PAL and FSM will be removed from Coral Triangle Initiative (CTI)
  • $1m will be transferred to Micronesia Challenge GEF project run by UNDP
  • To minimize duplication/ownership
  • As agreed in March 2008
  • ADB to consult with GEF

  • ADB’s Phase I TA was approved in July ($1.125m)
  • FIJ, PNG, SOL, TIM, VAN
  • TA is to design of Phase II, to run from 2010 to 2013
  • Expected funding for Phase II as much as $40m
status of energy efficiency
Status of Energy Efficiency
  • ADB TA approved 12 September ($1.7m)
  • PNG, SAM, TON, VAN, COO
  • TA is to support policy and regulatory work and capacity development
  • And prepare a pipeline of projects
  • Expected project funding as much as $30m
  • Open to other Pacific Member Countries
