  1. TILFORD EAST BRIDGE PROGRESS UPDATE 17TH MAY 2018

General scheme progress – All dates may be subject to some delays. • Tender documents sent out and due back Friday 25th May. • Tender evaluation and Contractor selection 29th-31st May. • Temporary footbridge installation early July 2018 duration 4 weeks - subject to receipt of successful contractor programme. • Main works to commence early August – subject to agreed consents • Environment Agency and Historic England Permits have been submitted and are in progress. • No access via river during the scheme is in progress • Project Duration – our estimated 4-6 months – subject to receipt of successful contractor programme

  3. Temporary Footbridge – Southside of Permanent Structure – Design in Progress – Consultation with Utility companies to avoid water main and electric buried in the riverbed. Outlined design due back 25th May 18.

  7. Sheephatch Lane Proposal • Hard closure on either side over the weak bridge - assessed for 7.5 tonnes. Any properties on side of the hard closure will have to exit and enter the road the side they live on Barrier Type • Access/Egress only to residents and farm land owners. • Access gate on both ends of Sheephatch Lane • to be installed with code or key for vehicles. • Access for pedestrians and equestrians will be provided to the side of the gate. Junction Improvement - Consideration • A more defined T-junction on the Green side of the bridge • The drawing (in pink) shows the "line of posts" showing the line of the kerb as it now exists • On the Green side the road veers towards the bridge for the last stretch. If this were to be straightened out it could help increase the angle between the two roads at the junction. • Any alteration to road layoutis subject to SCC safety audit, which includes Police interaction. • Land agreements will be necessary – SCC legal team • involvement required
