  2. Nutrients are essential for our body. The three main nutrients we need to be healthy and to protect our body form diseases are fat, carbohydrates and protein

  3. It is said by scientists that nutrients are essential for providing us energy and energy is what helps keep us alive

  4. 50% of our energy comes from carbohydrates, 35% comes from fat and 15% comes from protein

  5. Nutrition affects different population groups in different ways depending on what condition the country is

  6. For example if you live in a county that is going through poverty, doesn't’t provide good education and has food shortage it is harder to keep your diet healthy

  7. Having a good diet provides us the best protection against diseases and illnesses like type 2 diabetes, cancer and other deficiency's and especially obesity. At the moment 66% of UK population is obese

  8. It is also important to eat proper foods like eggs, fish, meat, nuts, fruit and vegetables because therefore we are eating good portions of nutrients.

  9. It is also very important to drink plenty of water. The right amount of water to drink a day is 1.3 liters which is on average 6 cups a day. It is important to drink more water on hot days or when we’ve been active.

  10. So overall having a good healthy diet and therefore having the right nutrients and vitamins in our body are essential for us and help keep us healthy
