Brief History • 4 months establishment period in a series of 5 phases. • EPC MIS/GIS officially handed over on the 7th of March 2007 • PowerUserGIS implemented and used by various EPC staff • Asset capture completed for all of Samoa • PowerGIS and EPC vehicle tracker implemented Dec 2006 – Mar 2007 March 2007 • Feb 2008 • Jan 2009 • June-Sept 2010

  4. Current EPC GIS Unit • 5 permanent Staff, 2 casual workers • 2 Vehicles • 3 PCs • 3 Trimble GeoXM GPS • 1 Server • 1 Base station

  5. Major Works Completed • Asset Capture for all of Samoa completed. Includes all power poles, electric meters, transformers, lines and Generation assets • Complete Pole tagging of all power poles in Upolu • Development of 3 additional systems complete
