  1. DIY Fashion Mariah W. Bear

  2. Content • DIY Fashion • Band T-shirt -> Vest Hoodie • Simple Wedding Dress for Under $20 • Home-Made Casual Corset • Conclusion • Resources

  3. DIY Fashion • DIY = Do It Yourself • Doing any thing that make a clothing article unique or altering an accessory. • Adding or taking thing to clothing to make it some thing “new”

  4. Band T-shirt -> Vest Hoodie • Easy enough to make. • Only things you need are a old band T-shirt and a least two feet of pattern fabric. • Can be made under 15 minutes.

  5. Simple Wedding Dress for Under $20 • This is a Project for a true “tree hugger” (or some one who REALLY like to save money). • A strapless wedding gown made out of only 10 large cotton T-shirts. • Doesn’t really require as much sewing as one would think.

  6. Home-Made Casual Corset • I choose this because I’ve actually made this before. • Easy to make, simple yet attractive. • Only need to use two T-shirts to make this.

  7. Conclusion • I choose this art movement because I have been reconstructing my clothes sense I was a little kid and now that I’m older I think I can make a difference to the environment if I continue to reconstruct my clothes. • I learned that DIY fashion is a lot more popular than I first thought it to be. I’m glad that the thing I love to do is (slowly) become mainstream.

  8. Upcoming Art Project • What I plan on making for the art show are clothes/outfits out of old recycled clothes.
