  2. A flower is the part of the plant that makes the seeds. A flower is the precursor of fruits. What is a Flower?

  4. Parts of a flower 1. Peduncle-stalk of a flower.

  5. 2. Receptacle- part of a flower stalk where the parts of the flower are attached.

  6. 3. Sepal- outer parts of the flower (often green and leaf-like) that enclose a developing bud.

  7. 4.Petal- parts of a flower that are often conspicuously colored.

  8. 5. Stamen- pollen producing part of a flower, usually with a slender filament supporting the anther.

  9. 6. Anther- part of the stamen where pollen is produced.

  10. 7. Pistil- ovule producing part of a flower.

  11. 8.Stigma- the part of the pistil where pollen germinates.

  12. 9.Ovary- The enlarged basal portion of the pistil where ovules are produced.
