  1. Bill Hionas Says Precious Metals Very Attractive as Safe Haven (1888PressRelease) Gold and silver are both attractive to investors as safe havens. MIAMI, FL - Both gold and silver are attractive to investors as a safe haven in times of economic crisis and - as gold becomes more and more expensive - silver is beginning to catch up to its big sister in terms of investment demand. Precious metals bullion is a unique financial instrument; one is purchasing a holding in an actual physical metal, a metal that has stood the test of time and been proven to hold its value against paper currencies. Platinum was briefly overtaken by gold last week as gold soared amidst the macroeconomic turmoil that followed S&P's downgrading of the US's triple-A credit rating. Platinum sees much of its demand coming from industry so it is slightly less attractive in times of economic uncertainty; however, it quickly regained its position and is likely to continue to rise as the stock market recovers. Palladium also sees a large portion of its demand coming from industry, the automotive industry in particular. Pan American Metals of Miami is a precious metals brokerage, based in Miami and led by Bill Hionas. PAMM was showing gains in gold, silver, platinum and palladium today, August 17. "Precious metals offer a great hedge against inflation and are currently attracting a lot of attention as stocks have been volatile and there are ongoing concerns about sovereign debt issues both at home and overseas," says Bill Hionas. PAMM's team of investors and brokers is able to assist buyers wishing to purchase precious metals bullion. Investors can choose either fully-funded or leveraged positions.
