Election Preparedness: Water, Sanitation & Hygiene to Mitigate Conflict Risk in Hotspots

This sector plan focuses on enhancing access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene in conflict-prone areas ahead of the 2013 elections. Conflict risk analysis by CRECO identifies potential hotspots. The objective is to reduce WASH-related diseases among the estimated 400,000 IDP and host populations affected by election-related conflict. The response plan aims to strengthen WASH sector capacity to address emergency needs. UNICEF's contribution is not included in the final funding tally.
