  5. Destiny Determined by… God’s Sovereign Choice • Sovereign in childbirth (25:19-21) • Sovereign in election (25:22-23) • not subject to our customs or expectations • not based on our merit

Romans 9:10–12 when Rebekah had conceived children by one man, our forefather Isaac, though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God’s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls— she was told, “The older will serve the younger.”

  7. Romans 9:15–16 “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.

  16. Take RESPONSIBILITY for your choices to believe to obey REST in God’s sovereignty in the security of your salvation

  17. Romans 8:38–39 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
