Using Green Products • Green products are safer for cleaning personnel, building occupants and the environment • Green products (like all products) must be used correctly • Green products must be disposed of properly after use • Use only products approved by the City of San Francisco – see www.sfapproved.org

  3. Look For The Seal of Approval

  4. Use dilution stations to mix and dilute properly

  5. Follow the directions – don’t mix chemicals

  6. Don’t use disinfectants on floors, walls, ceilings, etc.

  7. Clean with cold water

  8. Use certified equipment – Carpet & Rug Institute

  9. Use recycled paper products

  10. Don’t clean windows and mirrors with paper towels Use a microfiber cloth or a squeegee

  11. Use recycled plastic liners Use liners that are the right size and thickness

  12. Properly fold microfiber cloths Use all 8 sides of the cloth Don’t wad them up
