  5. Where did we come from? Creation or Evolution? Thousands or Millions of Years?

  6. Bible Reading Read Genesis 1:1-31 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Psalms 117:160 These verses illustrate that the Bible is very clear on the issue of creation and exactly what happened. Also that scripture is from God and contains no errors. If this be so, then Creation vs. Evolution and Millions of Years should not be an issue.

Creation • The Bible clearly states that God created the heavens and the Earth and that He created plants, animals, and humans all in 6 days. • Dinosaurs would have been created with all the other animals. • God made everything with the appearance of age! • Adam and Eve were never babies. • The mountains were never hills. • There was no egg before the chicken. • Any other view would need to stretch the biblical evidence to make it fit.

Evolution • The Theory of Evolution requires an old Earth. • Their dating methods are flawed. • There is no fossil evidence to support evolution. • Charles Darwin believed that there would be fossils found that showed a half ape half human, there are no such fossils. • The fossil evidence that is available has been distorted to fit their views.

  10. Genealogic Record Old Testament • Genesis 5 - Adam to Noah • Genesis 11 - Shem (Noah’s son) to Abraham New Testament • Matthew 1:1-17 – Abraham to Jesus (Mary’s line) • Luke 3:23-38 – Jesus to Adam (Joseph’s line)

Lessons From the Genealogic Record Genesis 5 – Adam to Noah • Adam died at 930 which would have been 931AC. • Noah’s father was born in 875AC, which was 56 years before Adam died. • Noah was born when his father was 182 which would have been in 1057AC. • Noah lived 950 years which means he died in 2007AC. • There were 1057 years between Adam and Noah.

Lessons From the Genealogic Record Genesis 11 – Shem to Abraham • Terah was born in 1879AC and was 70 when Abraham was born. • Abraham was born in 1949AC which was 58 years before Noah died in 2007AC. • Abraham lived 175 years and would have died in 2124AC. • Noah was 500 when Shem was born and there were 392 years between Shem and Abraham. • That is a total of 892 years between Noah and Abraham.

  13. Lessons From the Genealogic Record Matthew and Luke’s Genealogies • Jesus was born in 4BC. This would have been around 4112AC. • Jesus was crucified when he was 33 ½ which would have been in 30AD. This would have been 4145 years after creation. • This year is 2011. That would be 6126 years after the creation of the world.
