  1. Investigation using Ti Nspire Quadratic equations Sudheer Kumar Cranbourne Secondary College

  2. Learning goals • Be able to input the equations into the calculator and draw a graph • Copy the graph from the calculator on a worksheet for later reference • Be able to transform the generic graph of y=x2 • Be able to link the transformation of the graph to the equations. - Be able to write the equation from the transformed graph.

  3. Note -Set the range from -10 to 10 for the two axis. -Plot each graph on a separate page -Follow the instructions for drawing the graph as per handout.

  4. instructions Input the first equation in the calculator Draw the equation on to the graph paper Make some observation Input the second equation into the calculator Draw the graph in the section above the equation Make some observation by comparing with the first graph. Continue drawing the other graphs and copying the graph onto the worksheet and making necessary observations.

  5. y= x2

  6. Ti Nspire • Instructions- draw graph • Press the ‘home ‘ key • Select 2 ( graphs) – Enter • Move the curser at the bottom of the screen. A square box appears at the bottom. • Input the first graph (y=x2 ) • Enter.
