Information • Besides, plug-ins such as facebook, twitter & formspring, we have included links on our blog for our readers. • We are following many fashion blogs & websites such as Rumi Neely (famous fashion blogger), lookbook.nu & stylist.com to keep us updated and as part of our research & inspiration for entries. • We have promote our blog not only through friends & families but also to other unknown target audiences.
Frequency • Blog: almost 1-2 days. Latest 3 days. • Facebook (frequency level is higher as compared to blog) : We need to keep our readers informed and interested of us by having almost daily updates on facebook. • Twitter (Frequency level is around as fb) : Trying to post more frequently in a day. Currently, we are updating on daily basis.
Challenges faced • As we are first time bloggers, we faced several difficulties when we blogged. • Clueless on how to create pages, designing of blog and even adding widgets to our blog. • We overcome this by conducting research and watching tutorials on Youtube. • In the beginning of our blog, most people are not interested in our blog. • We encountered this by making our blog interesting & coming out with contests. • Difficult for us to handle technical difficulties for our blog.
What did not work for us? What work for us? • In the beginning , our entries are posted around 3 to 4 days. • It did not helped us to gain traffic nor attract many readers to follow our blog. • Therefore, we had increase our blogging frequency to tackle this problem. • Twitter did not really help us, we had very little followers. • Coming out with plans to tackle with twitter. (exclusivity to twitter readers. • Facebook worked for us. Quite a number of people know D-vibe via this platform. • Conducting contest is definitely a way to attract readers & increase traffic! • Formspring is another useful platform for us to engage with our readers. Some readers would rather use this platform to engage us rather than sending emails which is a hassle to them.
Exclusivity to FB & twitter! • Exclusiveness will be given to our facebook readers such as giving incentives for people who likes us. • For twitter, we can organize an event on twitter itself. For example; first 10 people who response to our specified tweets will get to win prizes. • This is to give exclusivity and creating hype to the different platforms for keeping our readers entertained and interacted.
