BACKGROUND INFORMATION • Overarching performance management solution including Goal Setting, Performance Appraisals, Talent Management, powered by WingSpan. • Human Resources is your resource for all WingSpan questions (including log in information). • Supported browsers include • Windows Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher • Firefox 3.6.3 or higher • Google Chrome • Works on an iPad too!

LOGGING IN TO WINGSPAN • You will receive an email from Human Resources, Performance Management • Click on the link in the email or type the link in your browser (bookmark this page in Favorites for future use) Username: Your Employee Number (located on your pay stub) Password: You will need to create one the first time you login • To create your password, click on “Reset your password” and enter your User Name (note: User ID = User Name) • You will receive an email with instructions to create your password. (It may take up to 5 minutes for the email to arrive in your inbox.) • Password configuration is 6-30 characters made up of 3 of the 4 items below: • Uppercase letter • Lowercase letter • Number • Special character • Once you enter your new password, you will be redirected to the home screen.

  6. SETTING YOUR GOALS • There is a To Do list in the middle of the home screen. • From your To Do list, choose Set Your Goals to navigate to the My Goals page.

  7. SETTING YOUR GOALS • Use drop down menu beside Choose an Action in Goal Summary. Click the down arrow and select Create a New Goal to begin setting your goals.

  8. SETTING YOUR GOALS • A Goal Details box will appear. • Click the “i” in the blue circle for additional information.

SETTING YOUR GOALS • Description – this box should be used to create your goal • Due Date - automatically defaults to 12/31/2014 but can be changed to an earlier date if necessary • Progressbar - can be used to track your progress throughout the year. You adjust the % as you progress. • Notestab – used for keeping notes regarding your progress on your goals. This section can also be seen by your manager and is a great way to communicate throughout the year; especially if goals or business demands change. These notes are not able to be edited once saved to your goal plan; you may, however, add additional notes. • Measurement – text field in which you may enter how this goal may be measured, such as “revenue increase over prior year”. You do not need to enter a measurement.

  10. SETTING YOUR GOALS • Once you have created your goal, click on Save Goal in Goal Plan. You will still have the opportunity to edit your goal if needed. • You will be redirected back to the My Goals page where you can continue adding additional goals. • If you need to edit a goal, click on the one you wish to change and make the necessary changes. Once you are finished editing, click on the Save Goal in Goal Plan button to update your goal. • You will submit your entire Goal Plan to your manager for approval, not each goal individually.

  11. SETTING YOUR GOALS • When you have all your goals ready to submit, use the drop down box to submit your goals to your manager. • A pop up box will appear for you to confirm submission for approval. • Your goals will show as “pending” until they are approved.

MANAGER FEEDBACK AND GOAL UPDATES • If your manager approves your Goal Plan, you will be able to update progress throughout the year. • If your manager does not approve your Goal Plan, you will be notified that changes need to be made. • You will have to look at the Notes to find any feedback your manager may have provided. • For the overall plan, the Notes are visible through the drop down box by selecting “Add Entry To Notes” • For each goal, select the goal and look at the Notes tab • During the course of the year, you may maintain updates using the Notes feature for each goal. *Remember you may not make edits to notes already saved but you may add additional notes to maintain updates. • Once saved, the notes remain in the system and are viewable to your manager. It is recommended you review your notes before you save them to the plan.

  13. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION • Click on your employee phototo go to your employee profile page. This page also contains basic career information where you can enter information such as career interests, education and additional skills. You may also upload your resume by selecting the “view resume” link under your photo. • It is recommended you log in to WingSpan regularly to update your goals, add notes and check out what’s new. • Towards the end of the year, you will receive information about the Performance Management Process and how these goals will be integrated into the 2014 Performance Review Form. • Don’t be afraid to click around and check things out…….
