  1. Title:- Types and applications of Worm Gear. A worm gear (or helical) is a specific gear configuration in which gears / wheels similar to straight gears and worms are coupled. This configuration allows the user to determine the rotation speed and deliver a higher torque. This mechanism can be seen both at home and in heavy equipment. The simplest form is obvious in the tuning mechanism of an acoustic guitar. Worm Gear There are three types of worm gears. 1.Non-throated :-This includes straight-line worms that are machined around the circumference. A single point of movement provides contact with the teeth. This particular type of worm is subject to high wear of the unit. 2.Single throat: A spiral concave tooth is wrapped around the worm for contact with the line. This means a higher unit load due to excessive wear. 3.Double throat: This type, commonly called hourglass cone, has a concave tooth in the worm and in the gear. Increasing the contact area in this way can result in less wear on the unit due to low wear.

  2. Worm Wheel Application of Worm Gear :- Tuning tools: Most guitars, basses, banjos and other string instruments use an endless screw to operate the tuning mechanism. The reason why we want to reduce the force of the gear is that it is combined with the locking function to maintain the tension of the desired belt. This type of worm gear is very different from what you can adjust up and down. Most helical gears can only rotate in one direction. Elevator / Elevator: Due to its compact size and its irreversible nature, the worm gears can be found in a typical elevator / elevator machine. This type of gear can be used as an auxiliary braking system because the gear / rod cannot transmit the movement backwards through the worm / elevator. This means that the load cannot fall freely and the speed of the load can be easily adjusted. Torsen differential: Large trucks or off-road vehicles, such as a Hummer, often require different amounts of torque to be delivered to each wheel depending on the work being performed by the vehicle. For example, the wheels must turn at different speeds, and the internal wheels travel a shorter distance, turning the corner. The Torsen differential of the vehicle handles this movement through a combination of worm gears that separate the performance of each wheel.

  3. Gate and conveyor belt: A typical worm can turn only in one direction. That is, the conveyor belt and the safety gate are fixed when they are not in use and do not move backwards. The automatic security door often adopts two screw units, one open and one closed. This means that the door can be locked in each direction and cannot be violated or imposed.
