GOSIC: • was established in 1997 • is in development at the University of Delaware • has entered its transition phase to NCDC in August 2005 • will become operational at NCDC October 2006 • is located at NCDC in room 447. Come visit! • is funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

GOSIC: • Provides users with quick access to global observing systems data and information • The Global Observing Systems covered by GOSIC are: • Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) • Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) • Global Terrestrial Observing System (GTOS) • Partner programs such as the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW)
