  1. Chautauqua Memory Poetry You will practice staying in character, & will recall important facts/research by retrieving “memories.”

  2. **You will compose a poem that communicates important personal elements of your character. Another way to get into your character’s mind and help organize your research, you will brainstorm and write as if you ARE the character.

  3. Dates to remember: Rough Draft due5/6/13. Final Draft due5/8/13.

  4. Recall pleasant times from your past.

  5. Recall buildings/places in which you have lived.

  6. Recall secrets you have or had.

  7. Recall magical people from your past. (Literal or metaphorical)

  8. Recall incidents that filled you with dread.

  9. Recall dangerous things you have done.

  10. Recall sinful or bad things you have done.

  11. Recall things that happened during school vacations.

  12. Recall things that happened in a classroom or schoolyard.

  13. Recall things that have happened near a body of water.

  14. Recall your romantic infatuations.

  15. Recall funny things that made you laugh happily.
