Organizational development • The constituent conference of BelLibNet (December 4, 2002 / 14 research and university libraries) was held under aegis of the Belarusian Library Association (BLA) • The BelLibNet Council was formed, Chairman, 2 Deputies and Secretary were elected • Statute of the BelLibNet Council was worked out • The listserv eifl@anubis.bsu.by was installed

Activities • Evaluation of IR provided by(eIFL):EBSCO, ProQuest, Cambridge University Press, HighWire Press, Institute of Physics Publishing, IOS Press, Blackwell Publishing, American Physical Society, Integrum, EastView; (PERI) Academic Press Ideal, Oxford University Press, Royal Society of London, Cohrane Library; (others) RFFI NEB, LexisNexis, Web of Science, ChemVillage, Dialog • Financial issues of 2003 EBSCO subscription • Issues of CD-ROMs delivery

  4. Activities • Training and promotion: • At the library professional development courses (April 3, 2003) • At the conferences (Minsk, May 21-23, Vitebsk, May 27-29) • Project activities (Web-site, workshops in oblast cities, etc.) • Creation of the Web-portal for research and education in the future)

  5. Proposals • Comprehensive approach - not only access to outside databases but active participation in creation of own IR • Development of interoperability (SPARC, Dublin Core, OAI (Harvest protocol), etc.)
