  1. Temporary Mobile Equipment Document Number: KOC.SA.013 Purpose / Scope: The purpose of this document is to provide guidance and outline responsibilities associated with the provision and the use of Temporary Mobile Equipment that will be deployed for project, operation, services and maintenance of all KOC facilities and areas All types of Mobile Equipment shall require “Clearance Certificate” those will be deployed for projects /maintenance / operation irrespective to any areas. No ‘Mobile Equipment shall be permissible to enter into hazardous locations such as GC, BS and similar plants and any classified zone of “Hazardous Area” (as specified in standard KOC-G-002) and in “Work Permit Areas” – without a valid ‘Clearance Certificate’

Mobile Equipment: • All types of movable equipments for the purpose of, material handling, lifting & shifting, earthmoving, equipment for road construction & maintenance, equipment for project construction, plant maintenance, drilling related equipment, wire-line related equipment, vehicle and/or skid mounted pressurized equipment & system, transporting equipment vehicles for passengers/people and transporting equipment for materials, and any other equipment that are not (and are not going to be) part of KOC’s fixed operation asset, which will be taken away once the intended task is completed and that contain one or more of the following: • Potential source of ignition • Hydraulic system, brake, critical alarm & indication system • Potential exploding/bursting and • Potential damage to properties, injuries, and impact to environment Shall be considered as “Mobile Equipment”

The following are the key actions/deliverables indicated out of this procedure for the purpose of induction only, enabling contractor to estimate basic resource requirements (it does not mean that the other actions/deliverables are not applicable): • Shall have relevant personnel duly adequate trained and skilled to check, inspect and maintain safety by following the Checklist of KOC for the mobile equipment • Will require to refer competent 3rd party agency(ies) for inspection and certification for mobile equipment associated with lifting/hydraulic/breaking/pressurized/ measuring/cryogenic systems etc. • Will require to hire/refer servicing agency(ies ) to carryout periodical checks & measure and servicing of mobile equipment as per instruction of the manufacturer(s) of mobile equipment • Shall require to ensure that the relevant mobile equipment are fitted with approve type of spark arrestor at the engine exhaust • Electrical system of the relevant mobile equipment are suitable for hazardous zone/classified area • Shall maintain servicing, inspection, testing, calibration records and documents to obtain clearance certificate from KOC

Approving & Certification Process • The Contractors/Suppliers including his sub-contractors and petty contractors intend to deploy ‘Mobile Equipment’ shall prior to deployment require checking in association with the KOC’s Safety checklist. (A copy of the checklist shall be enclosed with each bid/contract document). • The inspection & certification process shall be once a year basis or for the duration of the contract whichever is lower. • The Contractor/Supplier shall submit full details supported with documentary evidences such as a) records of service and maintenance b) valid test certificates issued by ‘authorized & competent third party agencies’, and international quality accredited agencies c) requirements as indicated in the KOC Safety Checklist d) journey-travel log & register • Upon receiving the clearance certificate from the Controlling Team the Contractors/Suppliers shall apply to Security Team for an access pass for each ‘Mobile Equipment etc’. • The ‘clearance certificate’ shall be kept at a safe place in the mobile equipment

To: TL Security (Svcs. & Ahmadi) This is to certify that: Vehicle KT #: Type: Mobile Equipment etc, Sr. #: Type: of M/s Contract # Has been checked on DD/MM/YYYY in conjunction with supporting documents submitted by the contractor and the above Mobile Equipment is found fit for the intended purpose on the date of checking has been carried out.
