This project explores Greek public spending through an innovative approach using open data to empower citizens. The first LOD App in Greece offers daily updates and visualizations, allowing users to track where their tax money goes. By leveraging tools like “Diavgeia” and TAXIS, the app provides rich information on spending decisions, payers, and payees. Comparative statistics with EU counterparts reveal insights and promote transparency. The project also aims to interlink businesses on a global scale, initiate a virtuous cycle of creation, and foster collaboration. Through the use of ontology, visualizations, SPARQL endpoint, and interconnections, this initiative encourages public awareness and involvement.
