The Agriculture Integrated Management Information System for Trade (ATMIS) revolutionizes Tanzania's agricultural sector by transitioning from manual to electronic processes in trade and plant health services. Launched in collaboration with TradeMark East Africa, ATMIS streamlines access to essential permits, licenses, and certificates for traders, significantly reducing processing time from days to under an hour. With ongoing implementation across regulatory bodies and crop boards, ATMIS aims to strengthen government revenue, eliminate fraudulent certifications, and foster confidence in Tanzania’s agricultural commodities in international markets.
