  3. The power of writers in schools to influence children, teachers, other writers • inspire, give lasting confidence to pupils • model different ways to work in the classroom • share with other writers, including those new to working in schools

The opportunities for writers to move their contribution on • encouraging the best in preparation and evaluation, ensuring legacy and impact • different types of residencies, contributing new learning experiences • working with teachers – get them writing • developing relationships with schools which lead to change

  5. The potential for writers to work together • supporting each other and spreading best ways of working • training – generic and specific • collaborations/partners/new ways of working to increase impact, regionally and nationally • leadership

  6. The power, the opportunities and the potential for many more children and young people to become committed readers and writers
