  3. Poetry Analysis • Peer Poem Explication (Break down of themes, metaphors, line-by-line analysis) • Then answer the questions (providing quotes to support your answers): • What does your poem imply about: • Love - Mortality • Death - Immortality • Fear - Hope • Being human

  4. Benchmark • Compare 3 poems • Use the handout to help break it down • Write your own poem. • Then Write 500 words explaining your poem.
