  3. Grades are averaged from 5 art projects and 20 daily drawing grades. Daily Drawings = 2000 points Art Projects = 1000 points The average is divided by 25 Grades

  4. Respect the Substitute Teacher • When there is a substitute teacher you are expected to be on your BEST BEHAVIOR. • Complete your assignments > you will generally do a daily drawing, worksheet and watch a film. • Help if you are asked • Relax.

  6. Follow School Regulations: No Food/Gum No Electronics No Weapons Be Prepared Wear proper uniform School Rules

  7. Consequences • Warning • Personal Assessment • Separation from group • Referral/Call Home A record of you behavior will be kept for your consideration.

  8. Major Disruptions • After School Detention Friday – 1 hour • Classroom Suspension • Lunch Detention • Campus Clean-Up • Call To Parents • Suspension

  9. Goals • Control voice level at all times • Learn • Be respectful • Do your best • Create a great place to be

Procedure • Entering the classroom • Taking roll • Dealing with tardy students • Making up work when absent • Dealing with students who lack materials • Passing out instructional materials • Handling equipment • Labeling student papers • Collecting student work • Preparing to leave at the end of class

  12. Daily Drawing • Students draw every day at the start of class. • Always write your heading.

  13. Pencils • ALWAYS bring a pencil! (And a pencil sharpener.)

  14. Trash • Throw it away on you way out the door each day. • Keep the classroom clean. Do not stuff in the desks or throw it across the room.

  15. Dismissal • When the bell rings, wait to be excused by table. • It keeps you safe and the room orderly this way. Wait…

  17. Use pass anytime during class-work, not during lesson presentation Approach teacher with by raising hand and having the agenda and pass ready Ask politely Use time wisely One pass per student at the beginning of ‘mester. More issued later. Restroom Pass The Rest Room Pass

  18. Late Work for Absence • Ask Ms. Stein or fellow student what assignment you have missed. • Ms. Stein is in her classroom after school on Wednesdays for more information. • Write the date you were gone and the word ABSENT clearly on the paper. • Place your assignment in the late box on Ms. Stein’s desk.

  19. Mediums and Materials • You will learn to use a variety of art materials and take care of them.

  20. Technique • Students learn to apply skills in projects by following procedure. Listen, practice and learn and you will succeed.

  22. Enter classroom quietly Complete daily drawings and all assignments Practice drawing skills Listen carefully to instructions and lessons Bring materials to class Wait for the teacher to dismiss you Student Expectations

  23. Provide a quiet study/homework environment Discuss what they are learning at school Encourage student to learn & develop skills Provide school supplies and uniform Attend back to school and parent conference events Hold students accountable for their behavior Parent Expectations
