  2. The Industrial Revolution • Started in Great Britain. • Lasted from 1700s through the 1800s. • Marks a turning point in history because of the many inventions. • People everyday use something made during this period. • Changed the way the world produces goods.

Remember for later • During this period there were a lot of inventions created like • Interchangeable Parts for a Musket- Eli Whitney • Sewing Machine- Elias Howe • Light bulb –Thomas Edison • Telephone- Alexander Graham Bell • Engine – James Watt • Airplane –Orville and Wilbur Wright • Telegraph- Samuel F. B. Morse • Model T Ford, Assembly Line- Henry Ford • Cotton Gin- Eli Whitney

  4. -The Industrial Revolution changed agriculture, textiles, coal mining, iron, transportation, steam, human aspect, capital, and labor. -The agricultural revolution changed farming methods to produce more food cheaper with less labor.

  5. -The light bulb made a huge impact on the people in the 1800s. Before the invention of the light bulb a main source of light was candle light. This allowed people to work earlier and later into the day. The addition allowed ships to travel safer at night.

  6. -Improvements were made to the industrial process therefore, accelerating the production of cotton. The cotton gin required less effort to make more cotton
