  1. 5/6 Sydney Excursion By Laura, Brittney, Colbi and Jordan

  2. Setting off to Sydney In week 8 Term 3, the year’s 5 and 6 set off happy, excited and looking forward for a exciting adventure in Sydney. As the students said their “Goodbye’s” to their parents, 5/6 loaded their luggage onto the bus. Everyone then boarded the coach and we were on our way to Sydney!!!

  3. Arrival to Sydney Y hotel and Hyde Park. When we dropped our bags at the Y Hotelthe teachers got all of us into the foyer and gave us our key cards and sent us up the lift group by group. We then opened our doors and put our luggage on the floor. Next 5/6 groups walked around the MAGNIFICENT Hyde Park. We all sat down around a beautiful fountain and had lunch. Most children were enjoying there lunch break and were having fun.

  4. The Rocks The Rocks were ok but we only saw them from a distance. We didn’t cross the street only Mr Simpson did. He got a photo with them the rocks looked cool with all the different shapes of rocks.

  5. Art Gallery After walking around Hyde Park 5/6 visited the Art Gallery of NSW. 5/6 were lucky to get into the Art Gallery because we weren’t booked in. Each teacher guided 1 group each. Mr Behringer asked his group if they would have each painting in their house. Every child had their own opinions. All the paintings were amazing and it must of took alot of time and effort.

  6. Parliament house An important aspect of the excursion was visiting State Parliament House and meeting our local member Mr. Greg Pieper. He welcomed 5/6 on our arrival and he said he would like to visit our school sometime. We sat down in the gallery and listened to the questions and watched the bantering between the two sides.

  7. Imax Theatre- Hubble 3D • The Imax was great, the movie was about the Hubble space telescope and launching it into space. All of the 5/6 thought the 3D affects were amazing. It was like an illusion with all of the 3D objects coming at you. The students tried to reach out to grab all of the things that were in space.

  8. China Town After going to the Imax we went to China Town. Some children didn’t have Chinese food they had hot chips. China Town was fantastic the food was great after everyone was finished we went back to the Y Hotel.

  9. Sydney Harbour Bridge Whilst we were walking across the harbour bridge we had sunshine, strong winds , hail and torrential rain. There was fantastic views of the harbour and when you looked above you could see people walking over the bridge. Finally we reached the other end everyone was drenched but laughing and smiling. It was great fun.

  10. The Zoo • The zoo was amazing the twilight version was cool we only saw a few nocturnal animals and a few daylight animals. We saw giraffes, hippos, lions, ostriches, mountain goats, fish, spider monkeys, zebras, and a komodo dragon.

  11. Bye Bye Sydney!!!` • The best part of Sydney would have been learning the historic and wonders of our awesome Sydney excursion. Colbi, Brittney, Jordan and Laura all enjoyed there marvellous journey to Sydney!!!
