New Developments • River Islands at Lathrop • 11,000 residential units • 17,000 new jobs • Mossdale South and West Villages • 2,500 residential units • 27 acres services and 1 million square feet of retail/office • Central Lathrop Specific Plan • 6,800 residential units • 4.5 million square feet of offices We developed traffic models for all of these new developments for environment impact studies.

Traffic Monitoring Program • Determine the circulation needs for traffic circulation improvements • Satisfy the conditions of approval for new developments • Identify any intersection level of services • Determine mitigation measures • Update on an annual basis • Years: 2006,2008,2010 and 2012

  6. Level of Service • Level of Service (LOS) is a qualitative index of the performance of an intersection in the transportation system   • LOS is based on 2000 Highway Capacity Manual published by the Transportation Research Board

Demand Forecasting Process • San Joaquin Council Governments Travel Demand Forecasting Model was used in CUBE/TP+ • Emme 3 was used for a detailed analysis, since it was used for the model calibration at the turning movement level • Turn counts at the study intersections were entered into Emme 3 for the model calibration • The difference method was used • Road network and land use data were updated
