Objectives • Propose a new journal that federates all activities of NPSS related to medical applications • Cover both imaging and therapy domains from detector development to treatment devices including associated software developments and clinical/preclinical proof of concept studies • Target a number of publications currently published from our members in physics journals (PMB, MedPhys, JofPhys_D, BiolApplPhys), specialist medical journals (EJNMMI, JNM, CPM), and non-specialized journals (ex.PlosOne) 19 July 2014

  4. Tentative Title and Scope IEEE Transactions on Ionizing Radiation and Plasma Medical Sciences (TIRPMS) Subjects: 1. Ionising Radiation Detectors for medical imaging 2. Clinical and pre-clinical imaging systems design and performance 3. Intra-Operative Probes & Portable Imaging Systems 4. Image reconstruction methods 5. Data corrections and quantitative imaging techniques 6. Signal and image processing 7. Multimodality imaging (hardware and software) 8. Therapy related system design and performance 9. Image guided therapy 10. Dosimetry and radiation/plasma-biological interactions for radiation and plasma medical applications 11. Simulations for imaging and therapy applications 12. Clinical/preclinical evaluation studies (proof of concept) 19 July 2014
