  2. Bellwork- August 12, 2014 • Write today’s objective and homework into your planner • Take out your composition notebook and folder • Write your first and last name and “Language Arts” on both (top right of folder)

  3. Procedures and Expectations • Important things to remember: • Questions I still have:

  4. Important Pre-Class Procedures • Class begins as soon as you enter • Check the board for bellwork/instructions • Copy the day’s objective and homework into your planner • Sharpen pencils before class starts

  5. Bathroom/Leaving the Class Procedures Cont’d • Students may NOT use the restroom for the first or last ten minutes of class • 1 person at a time may leave for the bathroom • Students must fill out a bathroom pass in his/her planner to leave class

  6. The Do’s • Do raise your hand before speaking • Do raise your hand before getting out of your seat • Do have all your materials ready before class starts • Do wait to sharpen your pencil after I finish speaking

  7. The Do’s • Do wait to leave class one i’ve dismissed you • Do use the Table of Contents to find what page we are on • Do respect others • Do your best everyday!

  8. Student Expectations • Come to class and be on time • Complete class work on time. • Do all your homework and bring it to school with you each day • Bring all necessary materials to class • Be an active learner- participate! • Respect others

  9. Book Projects • Book Projects will be given quarterly • Presentations • More details TBA

  10. Homework • Homework is posted on my website and will be displayed at school. *Students are responsible for copying assignments into their planners.
