  4. Conflict Resolutionstep 1 Part 1; Define the problem Admit your role in the conflict or problem Express your Feelings using “I” messages Say something positive about the other person Describe the Behavior that Bothers you specifically

  5. Don’t be phony • Avoid using terms like “always”, “never”, and “none.” • Don’t assume your feelings are obvious to the other person • Avoid using “you” statements • Avoid name calling • Talk about behaviors not attitudes
