Military Family Life Consultants (MLFCs) Provide direct, short-term, non-medical, solution-focused counseling services to individuals, couples, and Families for situations resulting from life circumstances. MFLC counseling services are completely free, confidential and administered by Masters or Ph.D. licensed therapists coming from the community. Provide psycho-educational groups and presentations addressing life skills and military lifestyle topics. Due to success of first MFLC Team deployed to Germany in 2004, there are now MFLCs, PFCs, CYBs and MOS specialists available throughout the world. Support mobilization, demobilization and reintegration activities. Develop community capacity by reaching out to community agencies and groups. Identify and coordinate government benefit programs to help service families.

  5. Contacting MFLC Services Here is how someone would request resources (MFLCs and PFCs) for an event. Via the Internet, type in Military Homefront. Once on this web page, in the Search box, type in JFSAP. Choose Overview of JFSAP. Then, on this sub-page on the left hand side, click on "OSD JFRC". This will take you to the Office of the Secretary of Defense Joint Family Resource Center. This page is chalked full of information as well as the actual request form. OR http://jfsap.mhf.dod.mil 30-days prior to the event if possible! OR Or contact any member of the JFSAP team utilizing the contact information on the previous slide
