  3. Why I Chose My Topic and Product • Soccer has always been a part of my life and one of the biggest faults in soccer is the potential for error. • Since soccer is considered a low scoring game, every goal has the potential of changing the game completely.

Should Goal-Line Technology Be implemented in Professional Soccer? • Goal-Line Technology keeps power in the referees. • Supported by fans, coaches, players and even referees. -John Terry -Arsene Wenger -Howard Webb • About 74%-83% of soccer fans would like to see Goal-Line Technology be implemented into professional soccer.

  5. Support from the Fans From the Football Fans Census survey, 83%, of the 2023 people asked if goal-line technology should be implemented, said they would like it to become a routine part of pro soccer

  7. FIFA Guidelines • FIFA, the governing body of professional soccer will not implement goal-line technology unless it meets the following requirements • Must be real time • 100% accurate • Reliable • Only to be used by officials

  8. Alternatives • Extra referees behind the goals. Gives extra eyes on the goal-line as well as a more clear view of the penalty area.
