DIFICULTAD PARA SU CONCEPTUALIZACIÓN Muchos analistas equiparan las Autopistas de la Información a Internet, “red de redes”, debido a la existencia de varios términos acuñados para designar las nuevas y potentes infraestructuras de telecomunicaciones capaces de soportar el tráfico bidireccional de sonidos, imágenes en movimiento y mensajes entre terminales de ordenadores.

  4. UN POCO DE HISTORIA… A principios de la década de los noventa, Al Gore, promovió este término . Al proyecto oficial se le bautizó como la Infraestructura de Información Nacional (NII). En la actualidad, el G-7 la ha denominado Infraestructura Global de Información (GII).

  5. SU OBJETIVO MÁS AMPLIO… …era el de incluir todos los tipos distintos de transmisiones de datos entre una gran cantidad de sitios, personas y terminales.
