  3. Step 2 • Knows Capitalization and Punctuation rules • Know the 16 Homonyms on GED • Understands the types of sentences • Can organize a paragraph – hint words • Indentifies the 6 kinds of writing – organizers • Builds Tier 2 vocabulary • Writing an Essay – 6 types

Step 3 • Prefix, Root Word, Suffix • Tier Two Vocabulary – Words to Learn By • Timed Readings- Speed and Comprehension • Synthesis – Author’s purpose and tone • Understands how to interpret a poem, play and drama • Who, What, When, Where, Why • Pre Reading Skills for Predicting • Poetry, Drama, Non Fiction, Fiction
